Karin and Oswald created Kohlbrennerhof as a personal retreat: close to nature, high quality and deliberately small.
There are only five lodges, with space, privacy and Karin as your personal contact before and during your stay.
Nature & animals
Close to nature, not a theme farm.
The orchard grows cherries, apples, pears, nectarines and kiwi, plus almonds, hazelnuts, chestnuts, sea buckthorn, rowan berries, herbs and vegetables. Eleven Shropshire sheep and one ram graze among the trees.
Farm products
Small things from real work.
The farm shop offers proven products from the farm and region: syrups, jams and fruit spreads, liqueurs and schnapps, herb products, coffee and selected regional specialities.
A day at Kohlbrenner
A slow morning. An evening without a programme.
The day starts with breakfast at your lodge, then nature, the Salten plateau, forest and wide views. In the evening: sauna, terrace, a glass of wine and quiet.
Sustainability
Quiet technology, clear intent.
The farm uses photovoltaics, a heat pump, solar hot water and an EV charging station, combined with regional and farm products where they are actually available.
